My sometimes self-contradicting personality actually serves me very well. I'm equally comfortable taking a client's ideas and not only creating beautiful designs, but also building a website and making it come to life with XHTML and CSS.

I design logos, websites and more, and I also build the websites and make them come to life. |
|
I design using Photoshop and Illustrator, and code from scratch in XHTML and CSS. I also use bits of PHP and Javascript and the like. |

Hi, I'm Hannah, a 24 year old English lass living on the sunny Gold Coast in Australia. The name Poppet Designs came from my Dad's nickname for me, plus a love for the flower of a similar sounding name, and I've been proudly designing under this title since 2007.
Since I was a kid I felt like my brain liked to use it's left and right sides equally, so for a while I struggled to find what it was I was meant to do once the grown up decisions had to be made. Nothing seemed to satisfy my need for both the nerdy activities and the creative outlets. I thought I'd found the answer when I did my Bachelor of Industrial Design at QUT, and then a post-graduate qualification too. I was almost there...
Turns out designing and building beautiful websites for lovely clients fits the bill perfectly!
Now I get to combine my seemingly contradictory traits. Designing clean, fresh and sometimes quirky websites satisfies my lust for the often intangible creative process. I also tend to have a big grin on my face when I reach a lovely finished design. Bringing my designs to life by coding in XHTML and CSS from scratch keeps my left side content and allows the neat-freak within to shine.
